Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tohge Takayuki
NAIST, Japan Biotechnology Application in Biodiversity Associate Professor Dr Tohge Takayuki is an Independent Associate Professor at NAIST (Plant Secondary metabolism lab). He obtained his Master in 2001at the Kanazawa University Japan (pharmaceutical science) and furthers his PhD in 2005 at Chiba University Japan (pharmaceutical science). He also serves as editorial board for Plant Systems and Synthetic Biology and Plant Metabolism and Chemo-diversity journal. His research focuses in the study of genetic variation and metabolic diversity in both model plants and crops for the identification of valuable traits.

Dr. Melina Ong Abdullah
MPOB, Malaysia Food Security Dr Meilina Ong Abdullah is the senior principal researcher and Head of Breeding & Tissue Culture Unit at Malaysian Palm Oil Board, MPOB. Dr Meilina Ong Abdullah obtained her BSc. in applied science from USM in 1990, MSc. In Industrial microbiology from UM in 1994 and completed her PhD in plant biotechnology in 2001 from UPM. Her main research interest is in the palm oil focusing on the economic feasibility of clonal oil palm as planting material.

Prof. Dr. Rosli Md Illias
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Sustainable Bio-Products Professor Dr Rosli Md Illias is a Professor at the Department of Bioprocess Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), graduated with a first degree in Microbiology (UKM, 1992) and PhD in Molecular Biology (Edinburgh University, 1997). Currently, he is the Dean of Research Alliance at UTM. His research interest lies in enzymes and cellular modifications. He has been working on molecular engineering of carbohydrases, particularly cyclodextrin glucanotransferase in targeted enzymatic reaction of starch degradation. He also works on cellular design of E. coli modification for extracellular secretion system.

Dr. Viroj Boonyaratanakornkit
Chulalongkorn University, Thailand Enriching Well-being and Healthcare Dr. Viroj Boonyaratanakornkit is currently an assistant professor at the Clinical Chemistry Department, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University. He is also a vice chairman of Cancer genetics Network in Network Committee of Genetics society of Thailand. Dr. Viroj obtained his BSc. In medical technology from Chulalongkorn University and completed his PhD in 1996 at Loma Linda University in biochemistry. His research interests are mainly focused on the molecular biology of cancer, hormone-related cancer and molecular mechanism of steroid.
